Evelyn Powers (nee Tenner) of Columbia, MD, age 78, on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 died peacefully with her family at her side. Born April 15, 1931 in Baltimore, MD to the late Mary and Benyamin Tenner; wife of Malcolm Powers; mother of Michelle Powers of San Francisco, CA, Estelle (Kerry Avant) Powers of Columbia, MD and Rochelle (Steward) Howell of Essex, MD; grandmother of Nathan, Sarah, Annye, Merry, Jessica, Erik, Frida, Robert, Jennifer and Melissa; great-grandmother of Benjamin; sister of Malkie (Richard) Rubin of Lake Worth, FL and Anita Tenner of Odenton, MD. She will also be missed by her loving friends at Howard County Public Library.
Funeral Information
Service to be held Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Oakland Mills Interfaith Center, 5885 Robert Oliver Place, Columbia, MD.
Interment Ahavas Shalom Agudas Achim Cemetery, 6300 Hamilton Avenue, Rosedale, MD.
Family sitting shiva at the late residence from Wednesday to Friday morning.
