On Wednesday, August 24, 2022, Ana Sofia Ventura died peacefully at the age of 55 years at Deer's Head Hospital Center in Salisbury, MD. Born in El Salvador on March 3, 1967, to Santos Gabriela Ventura and the late, Miguel Angel Vasquez. Mother of Roman Ventura of Silver Spring, MD, Gabriela Portillo Ventura of Olney, MD, Sofia Ventura of El Salvador, and Miguel Portillo Ventura of Silver Spring, MD. Grandmother of Jayden Salazar and Everly Ventura. Sister of Antonia Balderas, Mardo Ventura, Daniel Ventura, Martha Rodriguez, Rosy Vasquez, Jose Ventura, Aracely Vasquez, Sergio Vasquez, Lourdes Vasquez, Gabriela Ventura, and Ofelia Ventura.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Shrine of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 12701 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20853 from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00 pm on Friday, September 2, 2022. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
