In Loving Memory:
Sweet Angela Isabelle Barnes, age 72 days, passed away at 8:35 a.m on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 12 2015 while lying between her parents Justin and Xenia Barnes in her room at Children’s Hospital, Washington DC. While she ultimately succumbed to her Congenital Heart Disease, her fight against daunting odds was both courageous and graceful. She was an inspiration to her parents, family, and friends. She was kept company by her parents day and night, showered with kisses, listened to bed time stories and lullabies, cuddled with, cherished, caressed and intensely loved. Across the globe prayers were fiercely prayed for her and countless hearts ached for her, a flood of tears were cried for her.
Angela was very beautiful. She had big brown eyes and a dark brown full head of hair. She had a beautiful smile and delicate little hands. Her favorite thing to do was to hold hands and she always gripped tightly. Her toes were always delightfully fat. Her caregivers were amazed by her strength and her beauty. Every day with Angela was a blessing to all those around her and she was always surrounded by love. She remains forever in our hearts.
Angela fought her battle with an elite group of practitioners in the field of cardiology and intensive care at the Cardiac ICU at Children’s National Hospital. They fight the battle with their caring team of nurses healing and comforting children suffering from Congenital Heart Disease every day without growing weary or losing faith. Our family is honored to have fought the good fight with these guardians of our own little heart hero.
Angela is survived by her Mother Xenia Barnes, her Father Justin Barnes, her elder sisters Serena Barnes and Victoria Barnes. She is at peace and surrounded by Perfect Love in her eternal home- paradise.
