Armando S. Ogbac

July 19, 1956 — March 26, 2020

Armand passed in peace at the age of 64, on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
Preceded in death by his father, Jose Marinay Ogbac, Sr., his mother, Amparo Mendoza Samson, his first wife, Evelyn Turalde Ogbac, his son Arnell Ogbac, sister, Carla Ogbac Centeno, Brother Carlo Magno Ogbac, and brother-in-law, George Klunk.
Survived by his wife Corazon Abundo, his children Arvin and wife Tweeny; Acecelle and husband Derreck; Arnold and husband Hayden; his siblings Maria Editha Atanacio, Jose Ogbac, Jr. Raul Ogbac and Lolita Klunk; and brother-in-law Martin Atanacio and Daniel Centeno; his in-laws from Cora’s family, Rene, Evelyn & Gary, Danilo & Nelda, Francisco & Marina, Maria & Andres, Asilo, Marino & Agnes, Franco & Helen, Eda & Roger, Emma & Sam, Carmelo, Jr. & Rosanna; and all his nieces and nieces on both sides of the family.
He leaves behind a host of loving relatives and friends.
He was a member of the St. Jude Filipino Community, in Rockville, Maryland, and actively participated in the choir and fundraising activities; member of the Catanduanes International; treasurer of the Mid Atlantic Foundation for Asian Artists (MAFAA); and most particularly a dedicated member and officer of the Bicol Association of Metropolitan Washington, DC, Inc.
In his early years, in the Philippines, he served as a Police Officer in Marikina, Rizal; then served as a member of the medical mission for many years. He traveled to Indonesia, spreading the word of God. He returned to the Philippines and developed a non-profit organization called ARC Palace international, selling Philippine goods and providing relief efforts to the underserved community. He served as President of PBMA, Inc. (Philippines) 1995-2013, and USA, 2005-2015.
In the US, he served as a nursing assistant, a private duty security officer, and a dialysis phlebotomy technician. He was a semester shy of his certificate in Information Technology when he passed away.
Visitation is on Thursday, May 21, 2020 from 4:00pm-5pm at the Thibadeau Mortuary Service, Gaithersburg, MD Private burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 1:30pm.
