Cassandra Renee Garcia Gibson

Cassandra Renee Garcia Gibson, 27, was taken home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 6th, 2015 in Souda Bay, Greece.
Cassandra was born August 28th, 1988 in San Benito, Texas, the daughter of Alfredo and Christine Garcia.
Cassandra grew up in a town called McAllen in Texas and graduated from Nikki Rowe High School in 2006. On February 8th, 2011, Cassandra enlisted and entered into the United States Navy to become a Master-At-Arms. She honorably served as a Master-At-Arms Petty Officer Third Class at Naval Support Activity-Bethesda for 4 years. She was well respected in the Mater-At-Arms community and well versed in her rate, a true “hard-charger” and did not fear any task that was presented to her way!
Cassandra transferred from National Support Activity-Bethesda on September 1, 2015, to begin work at Harbor Patrol Unit Souda Bay, Souda Bay, Greece.
Cassandra will never be forgotten, she has touched so many people in her lifetime with unconditional love and compassion she had been blessed with. She was a social butterfly who loved people, always encouraging them to be better and find their purpose in this life. Cassandra had a very strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and she brought forth his light in this dark world. Now she rests easy in heaven with Him, where there is no more suffering or pain, there is only love in which she believed with all of her heart.
Cassandra relied on one of her favorite verses to strengthen her faith:
1 Peter 4:8 “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
She loved her husband, her family, and her fellow Brothers and Sisters in the Armed Forces. Cassandra never met a stranger who crossed her path.
Cassandra is survived by Derek Gibson, her husband; parents, Alfredo and Christine Garcia; and brother, Matthew Garcia.
