Christopher Wayne Chandler, born on May 5, 1948, in Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025, in Montgomery Village, Maryland.
Chris dedicated 32 years of his life to the United States Postal Service. A proud veteran, he served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
In his personal life, Chris enjoyed various hobbies. He was an avid fisherman who cherished time spent by the water, and he also had a keen interest in shooting.
Chris's legacy lives on through his devoted family. He is survived by his son, Malcolm Chandler, and daughter-in-law, Jo Marie Chandler. He also leaves behind his beloved daughters, Melissa Sions, and Jessica Penyak, along with their respective spouses, Arthur Sions, and Darrell Penyak. Chris was a cherished grandfather to five grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Kathryn Chandler, and brothers, Paul Chandler, Randy Chandler, David Chandler, Doug Chandler, Hugh Chandler, and Robert Chandler.
He joins in eternal rest his deceased loved ones, including his parents, Dorothy Chandler and Howard Chandler, his brother Everett Chandler, and sister Elaine Ruane.
Christopher Wayne Chandler will be remembered for his love for family and missed by many.
