Dante Antonio Medina

Dante Antonio Medina, age 56, of Washington, D.C., passed away on May 29, 2024. Dante was born on November 6, 1967, to JoAnn and Antonio Medina in Washington, D.C.

After attending American University, he applied his love for physiology to various careers, including professional personal training and commercial fitness. At the time of his passing, he was enjoying a 12-year career as an international purser for United Airlines.

Raised by his maternal grandparents, Ann and Joe Carpenter, Dante grew up in Northwest Washington and quickly made friends of all nationalities and backgrounds with his larger-than-life personality, hearty laugh, and infectious smile. An avid martial artist, Dante achieved multiple ranks in various disciplines, including Tae Kwon Do, Shaolin Kung Fu, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Dante's son, Lucas Bailey, was born in Shady Grove, MD, in 2006. A dedicated father, Dante enjoyed seeing Lucas excel in academics and swimming.

Dante was predeceased by his mother, JoAnn Medina, his father, Antonio Medina, and his devoted grandparents, Lt. Col. Joseph Carpenter and Ann Carpenter. He is survived by his son Lucas Bailey, many cousins, loving friends, and colleagues.
