Edward Nalazek

On November 21, 1943 PFC Edward Augustine Nalazek, USMC gave his life for his country on Betio Island, Tarwa Atoll, Gilbert Islands, Republic of Kiribati. Born on March 26, 1916. On Monday February 10, 2020 at 10:45 am a Mass of Resurrection was held at the Memorial Chapel of Fort Myer, VA. Interment with full military honors followed at Arlington National Cemetery. He was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart.
