Ian Asher Goodwin

Ian Asher Goodwin, age four months, was called home on Monday, March 15, 2021, after valiantly braving two open heart surgeries and multiple other procedures. Born on November 13, 2020 at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, Ian was the beloved son of Andrew and Erica (nee Quintana) Goodwin and grandson of Larry and Cordie Quintana and Ida Goodwin. He brought such joy and strength to all who met him, and he was loved and a favorite of his various caregivers. His beautiful blue-gray eyes and long eyelashes frequently elicited smiles and comments from those he encountered. Ian will be missed greatly by those whose lives he touched, and his spirit will remain alive in our hearts forever.

A rosary will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Costilla, NM, with a Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Santo Nino Catholic Cemetery in Amalia, NM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in memory of Ian to the Wholehearted Foundation, which provided assistance to the family while Ian was receiving cardiac care at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC.
