Jorge Washington Travez

On Wednesday, August 11, 2021 Jorge Washington Travez, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Kensington, MD. He had recently celebrated his 93rd birthday before his departure. Born in Quito, Ecuador on August 9, 1928 to the late Jośe Travez and Carmen Munoz. Having completed his education and his service in the Ecuadorian Air Force, in 1963 he set forth for new opportunities in the United States where he found his calling in the hospitality industry serving libations and smiles till his retirement.

He leaves behind his family, devoted husband to Emma Travez; father to Adela Embry and George Travez; grandfather to Candace, Ava, and Raphael Embry and friends he loved so much.
