Lalitha Mukund Veeravalli, a beloved member of the community and cherished family member, passed away on November 21, 2024, in Rockville, Maryland, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 25 in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, India.
Lalitha was a dedicated professional who made significant contributions during her career. She served as an esteemed employee at Indian Airlines in both Chennai and Mumbai. She later took on a long-term position at Marriott, where all who knew her appreciated her work ethic and commitment. Her educational background was marked by her accomplishment of holding a Master’s degree and serving as an IT Director, showcasing her intelligence and capabilities. Growing up, she lived in many parts of India and later on, lived in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Nassau, Bahamas.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lalitha was known for her friendly and charismatic personality. She was a kind and beautiful person, whose caring nature shone through in her interactions with others. Lalitha's passion for helping people was evident in her many friends and the countless gatherings she hosted, bringing joy and warmth to those around her. She enjoyed shopping and spending quality time with friends and family, embracing life enthusiastically and gracefully.
Lalitha is survived by her devoted husband, Mr. Mukund Veeravalli, and her beloved daughter, Ms. Akshaya Veeravalli. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to resonate in the lives she touched throughout her journey.
Visitation services will be held on November 26, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Thibadeau Mortuary Service, p.a., located at 124 E Diamond Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20877.
