Lewis Udijohn, 91, formerly of Hamilton Square NJ passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on August 3, 2024 in Silver Spring, Maryland., Lewis was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey and was a member of the New Jersey National Guard before joining the US Navy as a proud SeaBee, serving on Guam. After fulfilling his service to his country, Lewis returned to civilian life and spent more than 60 years as a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union.
Lewis and Margaret (Klink) married on Guam and settled in Hamilton Square where they resided for 65 years. Together they raised three children: LuAnn, David and Lisa, who were the center of his life. In addition to his wife and children, Lou is survived by his son-in-law, Jeff Pirone, daughter-in-law Stacy Udijohn, grandchildren: Ali Pirone Donohoe (Cullen), Michael Pirone (Katie), Alyssa Udijohn, David Udijohn, Jenna Udijohn, AJ Smith and Dalton Smith as well as great-grandsons, Banks and Benson Donohoe. Lou is also survived by his sister, Katherine Mantuano, along with extended family and lifelong friends. Lou will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his knack for making connections with people wherever he went.
A memorial service will be held September 3, 2024 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church with Visitation at 9:15AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM.
