In Loving Memory
Liudmila Pytaleva
November 5, 1952 - February 2, 2025
I want to share my mother's story.
My mother was born on November 5, 1952. She was a late child. She was born when my grandmother was 40 years old and my grandfather was 52. For those times, this was unusual. Mom grew up with warmth, affection and care. She graduated from school, graduated from technical school. She got married and gave birth to me. At 27, she became a widow. Then she got married again and lived with my stepfather for 23 years. And again she became a widow. In 2012, I insisted that my mother come to live with me in America. And so she came. For five years, she enjoyed life in America with her family and in the company of our friends. She loved every time we met with friends. On November 5, 2017, we celebrated her 65th birthday in the company of friends. And then came that ill-fated day when she had to have hip surgery. In 2017, after an unsuccessful operation, my mother got an infection. She had sepsis and bone necrosis. And a month later, the wrong implant was removed and the bone was completely removed from her leg. She became completely bedridden. She lay in bed for seven years and for 7 years she was an optimist. Despite the crazy pain, she steadfastly fought for life. She knew how hard it was for me and always supported me with her optimism. She loved life very much. I supported her and provided her with decent care. Mom, having learned that she would soon become a grandmother, steadfastly held on despite the deterioration of her health. Mom waited for her only granddaughter and my birthday. She saw her granddaughter!!! And in the greatest torment, her heart stopped beating on February 2, 2025. She was a wonderful person!!!! And not only because she is my mother, but because she was loved and respected by everyone who communicated with her. I am writing this so that everyone who sees this message can remember her and remember her bright memory.
