Ronald Frederick Erickson

Ronald Frederick “Ronnie” Erickson, 72, passed away at his home on March 27, 2018.

Born in St Vincent Hospital, Worcester, MA on Feb 5, 1946 to Statia & Ray Erickson. He spent his childhood in Worcester until his family moved to Landover Hills (later Hyattsville), MD in the 1950's.

He was a retired bus mechanic and Metro Bus Leader of the city bus operations of Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. After the passing of his father in 1974, he devoted his life to companionship and caring for his mother, until her passing in 2001. He adored fishing, photography and building computers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Reinhold F. "Ray" Erickson, his mother Statia Claire (Stazinski) Erickson, his nephew, Wayne Anthony Erickson and his brother, Lt Col Richard Francis "Richie" Erickson.

He is survived by his beloved niece, Wendi Erickson Eddleman, of Arlington, Texas and many, many cousins. He was cremated with his ashes interred in Texas.
