Sang Ohr

July 9, 1930 — January 2, 2021

The late elder Sang Nam Han-Ohr born on July 9, 1930 in Seoul, the eldest daughter of Hak-soo Han and Moo-so Jeong. She has a younger sister, Han Sang-suk, and a younger brother, the late Elder Han Sang-guk.
She graduated from Jaedong Elementary School in 1943.
She graduated from Ewha Girls' Middle School in 1946.
She graduated from Ewha Girls' High School in 1949.
She studied music specializing in piano at Ewha Womans University from 1950 to 1954.
In 1958, she went to Chicago, IL to study piano at the Chicago Conservatory. While there she met Deacon Pan K Ohr and they married in Chicago in 1960.
While living in Chicago, they had two children, Sally, the eldest daughter born in 1961 and Arthur, the eldest son born in 1964. The family returned to Korea in 1967 as Deacon Pan K Ohr expanded a business from the United States into South Korea.
Their third child and second daughter Alice was born in 1969 in South Korea.
Their fourth child and second son Edward was born in 1971 in South Korea.
In 1984 they returned to the United States to Boston, MA, where they bought and operated a convenience store.
The late husband passed away in 1992.
She is survived by her two sons, two daughters and six grandchildren.

The family moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland in 1992. She attended and was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church community since 2001. She lived a full and happy life, loved by so many friends and relatives. She loved her family, loved music, loved the arts, and really enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She has always been kind and generous to everyone. She will be missed by her family and friends.
