Vijay Laxmi Anand

On Friday, July 7, 2022 Vijay Laxmi Anand (nee Vimla Sarin), age 93 died peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence in Germantown, MD. Born on December 25, 1928 in Delhi, India to the late Bhaya and Laxmi Sarin. She came to the United States forty-five years ago, where she became a citizen. She devoted her energies to being a homemaker and raising a family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Prem Anand on December 12, 2007. Devoted mother of Renu Prakash of Germantown, MD, Brij Bhushan Anand of Franklin Lakes, NJ, Kul Bhushan Anand of Princeton, NJ, and Desh Jyoti Sawhney of Gaithersburg, MD. She will be missed by the many family members and friends whose lives she touched. Services are private.
