Private 1st Class William E. Carter (Sterling, Boo Sac, Sac)

Boo Sac, 65, suddenly departed this life at his home in Hagerstown, MD, on February 10, 2015. He was born in Montgomery County in Laytonsville, MD, on June 7, 1949. He is the son of the late James Hawkins and Helen Carter. Boo Sac graduated from Gaithersburg High School in 1967. Mr. Carter was a United States Army Veteran in the Vietnam War from 4/1/68 to 4/17/71, and received an Honorable Discharge. His career was a Caretaker.

Boo Sac is survived by his daughter, Tria Carter and a step-daughter, Norweena Thomas. He is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, eight sisters, six brothers, three brother-in-laws, one sister-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held to honor Boo Sac at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Goshen United Methodist Church, located at 19615 Goshen Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20879. There will be no Interment. The Repass will follow the Memorial Service at Goshen.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations towards his funeral arrangements and Memorial Service.
