On September 1, 2015, William Jackson Simms, age 74, passed away peacefully in Rockville, Maryland. Born in 1941 to Willie Jackson and Genevieve Simms in Houston, Texas. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis J. Simms. Father of Tracy Short Lewis, William Anthony Simms, Denise Lashell Martin, Charlene T. Martin, and Atoie Erick Owens and grandfather of 9 grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Mill Creek United Methodist Church, 7101 Horizon Court, Derwood, Maryland 20855 where a funeral service will follow.
Interment will be at Parklawn Memorial Park, 12800 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, Maryland 20853 immediately following the service.
