Yong Jin Shin

August 25, 1928 — April 10, 2021

Yong Jin Shin, 92, of North Potomac, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2021. He was born on August 25, 1928 in Seoul, South Korea.
He is survived by two proud sons, Sang Yun and Sang Uk, beloved daughter-in-laws, Esther and Sung and six loving grandchildren Grace, Timothy, Sophia, Sarah, Christina and Daniel.
His life was epitomized by service. He was a proud Korean war veteran with distinguished honors. After he graduated from high school and professional school for Government Civil servants, he served at The Ministry of Information and Communication, a ministry of the government of South Korea, for over 20 years.
He along with his wife, Yong Ki Shin, and their sons immigrated to the United States on February 7, 1977. He accepted Jesus Christ, got baptized and became a Christian. He dedicated the rest of his life to Christ, actively serving in numerous positions within local Baptist churches. He was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship Church of Maryland for 15 years.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 7 pm at New Covenant Fellowship Church of Maryland.
The graveside service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 12 pm at Norbeck Memorial Park, Olney, Maryland.
