Thibadeau Mortuary Service, p.a. is a Green Burial certified funeral home. We are here to assist you with any aspects of green burials and/or cremation. Caring for deceased loved ones with minimal environmental impact that aids in the conservation of natural resources is a concern for us all. All our discounted packages can be designed to fit your green burial and cremation needs.
As a green burial funeral home provider, we specialize in providing environmentally friendly funeral services, burial and cremation options. Our Eco-friendly Services are designed to minimize environmental impact by utilizing biodegradable materials for caskets, urns, and shrouds, as well as offering non-toxic embalming fluids or the option of no embalming at all. Moreover, our funeral home permits visitations without embalming, providing families with additional environmentally conscious choices.
We are proud to offer Natural Burial Options, presenting families with the opportunity for natural or green burials. In this process, the deceased loved one is interred in a manner that allows for natural decomposition, thereby contributing to the surrounding ecosystem. This may entail burial in designated natural burial grounds, conservation cemeteries, or on private land. Additionally, we provide guidance to families on how to adapt their existing site to accommodate greener burial practices; for example, utilizing a bottomless grave box in lieu of a vault.
Furthermore, we collaborate closely with families to tailor funeral services according to their preferences while maintaining a commitment to eco-friendly principles. This may include arranging alternative funeral and memorial ceremonies such as outdoor gatherings or designing simple, nature-inspired memorials. Our goal is to ensure that every aspect of the funeral process aligns with the values of both the family and the environment.
ECO Sphere Salt
Specially designed for ocean burial, the Eco Sphere Salt is 100% biodegradable.
The Eco Sphere Salt Urn is hand-crafted using saline and natural components only, it is the result of optimizing the material to build a spherical urn with complete functionality. Natural variations in color, ranging from cream to white, with some mineral staining are normal.

The urn can be buried beneath a favorite tree or the urn’s lid can be replaced and a seedling of the tree of your choice can be planted there to cultivate that new life.

The Willow Casket has a flat top and attractive design perfect for families that desire a simple, yet dignified farewell for their beloved friend or family member. Seagrass
The Seagrass Casket is crafted by hand primarily from willow, with attractive seagrass rope woven into the willow as an added design feature. This sturdy casket has a slightly rounded top used to finish the elegant, yet simple design. Each casket is fully lined with a natural, unbleached fitted cotton interior and includes a matching pillow.
Simple Bamboo
Designed for a cleaner and greener, yet dignified cremation. The Simple Bamboo Containers are hand-woven from sustainable bamboo. They are certified Fair Trade and burn more completely, at a lower temperature, and do not emit toxins. They are fully biodegradable containing no plastic, metal, or cardboard.
